Coach Applebee enters his 15th season as the Head Coach of the Jaguars. In fourteen seasons, he has compiled a record of 126-38 and fourteen consecutive trips to the 5A State Football Playoffs. The Jaguars won back-to-back Kansas 5A State Championships in 2015 and 2016 and won their fifth consecutive 5A state title in 2023 for their seventh overall (2015, 2016, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023).

Coach Applebee is a graduate of Kansas State University. He has a Master's degree from Fort Hays State University. He and his wife Amanda have three children: Haden (18), Holden (15), and Lola (12).
